What is the difference between the WD-F-1000 and WD-F-2000?
The WD-F-2000 under counter water filtration system replacement filter not only reduces particles, chlorine taste, and bad water odor, but also filters out lead, mercury, asbestos, benzene, and atrazine.
How do I replace the Waterdrop F-2000 water filter?
1. Slowly turn the cartridge counterclockwise until it comes to a complete stop (approx. 90° or a 1/4 turn). In this position, the inlet and outlet ports are closed and the filter's internal pressure is relieved.
2. Approximately 2oz of water need to be discharged from the vent line. Pull the used cartridge straight out and discard it in the trash.
3. Insert the new cartridge into the filter head. Make sure the top surface of the cartridge sits flush with the bottom of the filter head.
4. Turn the cartridge clockwise until it comes to a complete stop (approx. 90° or 1/4 turn).
Do I need to flush the filter before using it?
Yes, it is highly recommended to flush the Waterdrop F-2000 water filter before using. The filter is made from coconut carbon block, so you may find some carbon particles in the filter. Therefore, you should flush at first to remove these carbon small particles, leaving you with only pure water.
Can the Waterdrop F-2000 water filter be connected to my hot water line?
The operating temperature of the filter is 33-100℉. Please note that any temperature below or above this range is not recommended.
If I do not change my filter every six months, can this damage the system?
You should replace the Waterdrop under counter water filter replacement filter cartridge every six months – or sooner if water flow is reduced or if there is heavy sediment present in water. Filters used beyond this timeline will fatigue, thereby degrading the filtration performance.
What is the flow rate of this undercounter water filter?
A fast and stable water flow rate of 0.75gpm is another advantage of this water filter.
How often should I replace this Waterdrop undersink water filter?
The Waterdrop replacement filter cartridges for F-2000 water filter can last up to six months which is equal to 625 gallons of filtered water, whichever comes first based on source water quality. This helps cut down on your expensive bottled water consumption and protects the environment.
Does the installation of this undersink water filter require any tools or installation kits?
The WD-F-2000 under counter water filtration system replacement filter cartridge is designed to fit the indicated brands. It is easy to install and operate without any tools or other installation kits.

What systems are compatible with the Waterdrop F-2000 replacement water filter?
Waterdrop uses coconut shell from Sri Lanka for the carbon filter block and food-grade plastic housing to free you from worrying about contaminants leaking back into your filtered water. You no longer need to worry about water leakage, as this water filter fits the F-1000/2000 series perfectly.
What are the common undersink water filter types and how do they work?
Conventional under sink filter
The feed water is sourced from the undersink cold water pipe. It passes through a flexible plastic tube and gets to the water filter. After filtration, it is transported from the filter to the dedicated filter faucet through another flexible plastic tube. The user gets the filtered water from this dedicated faucet right on the top of the sink. The filtration process starts when the user opens the tap, hence the system requires constant pressure to send the water from the cold water pipe to the filter and finally out of the faucet.
Simple under sink water filter
The source water leaves the cold water supply to the filter for filtration and finally dispensed through the regular water sink faucet. The hot water does not undergo filtration. The more common version is one without a distinct ledge as the flexible undersink pipes are easier to use. Unlike the hard copper undersink pipes, the flexible pipes facilitate a simple and cost-effective DIY installation.
Most under counter water filters can deliver excellent filtration performance because they adopt activated carbon filtration, present as advanced carbon block filters. For the under counter water filtration system replacement filter cartridge from Waterdrop, the filtration is handled by the premium carbon materials sourced from the Sri Lanka coconut shell. This ensures the filters operate with a superior reduction performance.
