Either way is ok with this spin down filter. But we recommend being mounted vertical.
Will this spin down sediment water filter lower the TDS of well water?
No. Waterdrop spin down filter can only filter out large particulate like sand, rust, etc. If you want to reduce TDS, you can choose our
RO water filter system.
How does the back-washing function of this reusable water filter work?
This reusable water filter system is equipped with a flush valve, when customers turn on the valve, the internal waterways will flush the steel grid mesh backward. Once the reusable filter gets saturated with sediment, all you need to do is applying the innovative backwash function. Regular flushing will also help extend the lifespan of the filter.
Can I use this pre-filtration system after a water heater?
The operating temperature of Waterdrop spin down sediment water filter is 41-100 degrees Fahrenheit. This cannot be connected after a water heater but can be used before heating equipment.

Can this spin down water filter be used outdoor?
Only if you keep the water pressure between 14.5-72 psi and the temperature between 41-100°F.
